Pleading Sanity does not sell your words, your journal, or your sign-in.
A sign-in keeps an email and the name you choose. A post keeps the words you send. A game score and a card back can stay on this phone.
Arron is a companion. Do not send passwords or card numbers. Crisis lines are public. Forget Me, where it is offered, is the delete door.

Website analytics and your choices
No tracking anywhere. Period. Pleading Sanity does not load Google Analytics or any other analytics or advertising tracker on any page, so there is nothing to consent to and no tracking cookie is set.
Google Analytics was removed from every page in October 2026. Crisis, support, sanctuary, Arron, journal, notes, finance and account pages had it removed first, and the remaining public pages, including the games, the feed, solitaire, the 404 page and the offline page, followed.
If we ever consider analytics again, it will stay off the sensitive pages above, it will be off by default, and it will only start after you choose to allow it. This notice will be updated before anything changes.
Arron and the AI providers
When you message Arron, your words are sent to our server and may be passed to the AI provider that answers. The main order is GPT through OpenAI, Claude through Anthropic, Gemini through Google, then Grok through xAI when Grok is configured.
If those four providers cannot answer, Arron gives you a short reply with the real help lines instead. Free fallback models routed through OpenRouter are switched off for Arron chats and the finance helper until their data-handling terms have been reviewed. If that is ever switched on, this page will say so first, and OpenRouter and the selected model provider would also process the message. These providers are separate services; Pleading Sanity does not control their systems or their own data-handling terms.
Keeping a chat "on this device" means it is not saved in our database. It does not keep the conversation on your device alone: each message is still sent to the AI provider that answers it.
We do not sell your words. However, this is not end-to-end encryption, and your message is not hidden from the AI service that processes it. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or information you would not want processed by these providers. You can use the local tools without chatting to Arron.
The Sane Finance GBT
Your finance profile, quotes, application tracker, saved brief and documents are kept in this browser's storage on your own device. Pleading Sanity has no copy and does not send them to any lender, broker or third party.
If you press "Ask the family", your question and any quote you paste are sent to our server and on to the AI providers we use (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and xAI) to write the answer. Your profile figures are only included if you tick the box first. We do not store the question or the answer, and we do not write them to our logs.
To stop people flooding the service, we count requests per visitor using a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of the network address, in a counter that resets every minute. No raw addresses are stored.
"Download my finance data" gives you a copy. "Delete all my finance data" on the finance page removes it from this device straight away. Clearing your browser data does the same.
