Three modes
AI MODE
Machine-generated help is clearly labelled. AI is not an authority and never pretends to be a person.
TOGETHER MODE
Human and AI create, compare, question and improve something together. The human remains the final decision-maker.
Truth Lab
No infallible truth engine. Every contribution can be framed honestly:

Supported by evidence or independently verifiable information.
EXPERIENCE
Something personally experienced by the person sharing it.
THOUGHT
An idea, question or hypothesis — not established fact.
BELIEF
A personal, philosophical or spiritual belief.
UNKNOWN
Something we genuinely do not know yet.
Sanity Passport
A voluntary profile should describe a person, not diagnose them. The intended model is:
Who I am · What matters · What inspires me · What I'm learning · What I'm creating · What helps me · My goals · My story.
Privacy controls must be first-class: public/private visibility, explicit AI-memory consent, export and deletion. Until those controls are enforced end-to-end, the platform must not claim that profile data is private, encrypted or invisible to AI.

Alternative perspective and current cultural analysis.

Development workflow and repository assistance.
Arron
Pleading Sanity's user-facing companion. Arron is an AI, not Shane and not a therapist.
Connection rule: a provider is called connected only when its API/key/permission is actually available on the deployed system. A documented role is not proof of a live integration.
Community without clout
Contribution matters more than popularity. Possible roles include Storyteller, Guardian, Supporter, Survivor, Thinker, Creator, Voice, Grower, Connector and Pioneer.
Guardians welcome, protect, report, signpost and connect. They are not therapists, police or secret moderators.
The Sanity Arena can host rap, poetry, art, music, storytelling, philosophy, comedy and Human × AI challenges with published judging criteria rather than hidden popularity ranking.
Keep Kids Sane
Children need a separate safety boundary, not a smaller adult social network. The target architecture focuses on emotional intelligence, confidence, kindness, resilience, creativity, critical thinking, digital safety and age-appropriate AI literacy.

Protect working games, finance and sanctuary features. Make AI/provider claims accurate. Establish Truth Lab and Human + AI principles.
NEXT
Harden the Sanity Passport, AI-memory consent, Human/AI/Together labelling and contribution roles.
THEN
Expand Sanity Feed, Survivors Wall, Guardians, Arena and richer creation tools with real moderation and account controls.

A durable human-first network where technology increases connection, creativity and agency rather than replacing them.
Developer & partner door
Build with the existing vanilla HTML/CSS/JS platform, Netlify functions and database. Preserve working features. Add infrastructure only when the feature genuinely needs it.
Partners can contribute technology, moderation, creative tools, research, accessibility, youth safety or community support without owning the truth of the movement.
